These included pieces for traditional acoustic instruments and electronics, flashing lights, motors, his “Dino-bone” modified trombone, and his film, Burning Symphony. He discussed working together with collaborators from different disciplines as well as ways to get performers who may be more rooted in “traditional” musical practices to push their own boundaries. In addition to giving a talk, Dr. Louilarpprasert also met privately with our students to give feedback on their works. Students were impressed at the breadth of Dr. Louilarpprasert’s approaches to working with technology, and his visit is sure to inspire new creative ideas and ways of exploring collaboration.”
