TIMARA major Gabe Baskin teaching a secondary lesson in the media production studio.

It is a favorite space for our majors for teaching secondary lessons and has supported various Winter Term projects over the years, including one student who used the studio to develop all of the supporting video materials for Oberlin’s premiere of Du Yun’s Pulitzer Prize winning opera, Angel’s Bone.

The studio is also currently home to our large reel-to-reel machine, the Scully, which students occasionally use for special projects.
