The recording studio is fully outfitted as a classroom, rehearsal space, lecture space, and, of course, a recording studio.

With a quad playback system featuring Genelec 8050Bs, and a talkback system that interfaces with our control room, it is a great space for listening or for running a session. Students also frequently use the space for their own creative work or to record fellow student groups.

A fun highlight of the space is our Disklavier grand piano; it has been used for many experimental pieces to collect MIDI data to generate audiovisual work and for sending MIDI data to perform a player piano score.
